International packers and movers – booking and payment terms

Anyone booking international packers and movers should keep this in mind. The price is fixed after a free survey, on site or by video call, and shared on WhatsApp in writing. It includes the vehicle, driver, labour and, for the with-packing option, packers and packing material.

A small advance confirms the date, and the balance is paid after the move, in cash or by bank transfer. There are no extra charges on the day unless you add items or services.

If you need to change the date, tell us at least a day before and we will move the booking at no cost.

How to prepare your house before shifting

If you are looking for international packers and movers, a little preparation saves time and money. Start with the rooms you use least – store room, guest room, books and decoration. Sort each room into keep, sell, donate and throw; every item you do not move saves money and space on the vehicle.

Empty drawers of loose small items, keep screws of dismantled furniture in labelled bags, and take photos of TV and computer wiring before unplugging. Clear the path from each room to the gate so loading is quick.

Keep jewellery, cash, passports, property papers and medicines in one bag that stays with you on moving day.

Moving with children, elders and pets

Here is practical advice from our international packers and movers team. Moving day is busy and noisy. If possible, let children and elders spend it with relatives, or set up one quiet room with snacks, water and chargers.

Pack a bag for each child with clothes, a favourite toy and school things for the first days. Keep elders’ medicines with you, not in the vehicle.

Pets get stressed by strangers and open gates – keep them in a carrier or a closed room until the team has left.

Best time to shift your home

A common question about international packers and movers. Month-end and the first days of the month are the busiest because most rental agreements change then. Mid-month and mid-week dates are easier to book.

In summer, start early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat; in the monsoon keep a little extra time and make sure the vehicle is fully covered. Winter mornings are cold but ideal for moving.

During Ramadan we plan the work in the morning so the team finishes before iftar, and before Eid it is best to book a week ahead.

Getting appliances ready for shifting

Customers asking about international packers and movers often want to know this first. Defrost and dry the fridge and freezer a day before, and keep the doors slightly open so they do not smell. After the move, let the fridge stand for a few hours before switching it on.

Drain the washing machine and lock its drum if it has transit bolts. Gas cookers and geysers should be disconnected by a technician.

Split ACs need a technician to pump down the gas before removing the indoor and outdoor units – our AC team does this and installs them again at the new home.
